Default ap1 radio to ap2 radio adapter

i recently bought a hon98-aux for my stock radio. the member i bought it from said it would fit my stock 08 radio, apparently when i tried to install it the socket was different compared to the stock one. i just found out the the hon98-aux only fits ap1 00-03 and the hon03-aux fits ap2 04-09. i was wondering if anyone has tried to install ap2 radio on their ap1? is there an adapter i can use to convert the ap1 harness to an ap2 harness? i would really appreciate anyone's help, thanks.

this is the item i bought and thats how the ap1 adapters look

the adapter on the right are for the ap2

Headunits from all years are plug & play compatible with cars of all years,
however the accessories such as the trunk-mounted CD changers are not.
As the aux input adapter connects through the CD changer port, as you've
discovered it matters what year headunit you have. I doubt there is any
easy way to adapt the adapter as Honda probably wouldn't have changed the
connector unless there were changes in the communication between the units
as well.
Your choices are to get the appropriate aux adapter for your headunit, or
change to a headunit that matches your adapter (or of course change to an
aftermarket headunit that already has an aux in).

Attempted to hook up the Apple iPod Music Adaptor part# 0828-1J1-100 in my 2007 S2000 today and I found the "MALE" 14 pin connector in the trunk of the car. I attempted to plug in the new adaptor unit but there was one little problem. The adaptor unit also has a "MALE" 14 pin connector. No plug in here So it seems that one of these plugs should be a female

I did have that little box on my 01. But when I change my HU to a 07 I sold that box and get the HON03-aux. The Hon98-AUX won't work in 03+ HU
