AP2 radio removal questions
Folks,
I know that on an AP1, you do not need to remove the center console to remove the stock radio, but I have read somewhere that you will need to remove the center console on an AP2.
Is it easy to remove the center console on AP2?
Thanks!

I don't think it matters which model of S you have. Try this:

If you can't get it off without taking the console cover off, it's held in place with pressure clips. Start at the back and slide a thin screwdriver under the cover and begin to pop each clip and lift up on the cover. Work your way forward till the whole thing can be pulled over the shifter.

Yes you do. On 04+, you need to lift the front of the center console to get the radio door panel out...If not, you will crack the vents. Look in the FAQ for my post regarding removal of all interior panels.

I managed to remove the radio without removing the center console. It wasn't a problem when removing the radio surround. However, it was a MAJOR PITA to get the radio surround back on with the console in place.
