Here's the news i got from JL Audio
first letter from John Colasanti
-Thank you for your inquiry into the Stealthbox for your vehicle.
Unfortunately, at this time, JL Audio does not have plans to produce a
Stealthbox for your particular vehicle. I will certainly add it to our list
of demand. However, in the meantime, may I suggest looking at one of our
various Microsubs, Powerwedge enclosures, or contacting your local JL Audio
authorized dealer for a custom installation? To aid you in finding an
authorized JL Audio dealer in your area, we have provided a dealer locator
on our web site. It is located at
http://www.jlaudio.com/dealer.html
If you are having difficulty using the locator, or need additional
information, please let me know.
Second letter from Don Vertrees
- Dear Manuel Pereira,
We, here at JL Audio would love to do a Stealthbox for a S2000. The problem
we've run across is finding a vehicle we can use to take our patterns from.
It's not a vehicle that's available in rental fleets, and the dealers are
very protective of them. So until we can find an available vehicle, we're
pretty much stuck. I don't know where you're located, so I don't know if you
or one of your club members would be willing to help us, but if it were
possible, we would love to do the project.
As an alternative, you might consider using one of our Microsub enclosures
in your S2000. They're very compact, 11.25X16.25X6.5, and because of their
restrictive port design perform like a much larger woofer. Check one out at
your local dealer. There are three models, the 8.1, 8.2, and 8.3. Good luck
with you S2000!
Sincerely,
Don Vertrees
