I recently bought a silver 2K here in Kuwait and must say this forum has been a big help. I saw that some guy on this forum had changed the stock orange to clear side lenses. Personally I like the smooth look better and decided to do the same.

For those who wish to do this but have problems getting access to parts get hold of a pair of AUDI TT stock sidemarkers. Its not as painful as it sounds and you can get by without damaging any original parts. It will take about an hour and some patience. The important thing here is that the entire unit (including amber bulbs) must be fitted. The wiring is very easy as a small incision is made at the base of the internal wiring and connected to the new unit. From here its all clear silicon gel that is used to give a snug fit.

I have taken pictures of the before and after but don't know how to post them (help please moderator).

Peace in the Middle East!

hey man,,,,

I see you are from Kuwait. I'm from Kuwait too

I just bought a 2002 S2000 (Black/red) I was in the dealer body shop and saw a silver one that's got www.s2ki.com sticker. Is that your car? what year is yours?

I'm looking for someone who wants to trade with my headlights. I got the 02 style (chrome housing/clear) and I'm looking for the 00' and 01 style (black housing/clear). would you consider the trade? please contact me and let me explain to you what i'm talking about.

You could also probably adapt the Hella LED sidemarkers also.

I used VW New Beetle side markers, but it takes a little work. They are much slimmer that original and use bright LED's instead of lamps so there are no yellow bulbs to spoil the clear look.

Details here

You can use the forum's photo storage facility but you must be an "owner". To become one, you need to go to your "Edit Profile" and enter your car's VIN. Then you can go to your photo album and add pics and use them in your posts.
