Default Audio build in progess

2008 S2000 CR...and sorry in advance to those who disagree with quality sound (and weight) in a race car

System Build:
Kinetik 1400 under hood
Knukonceptz 1/0 power wire
SoundStream PowerPlant2
HeadUnit - Kenwood KIV-BT900
Sub Amplifiers - Digital Designs SS1 (strapped 600Wx2@1ohm)
Subwoofer - Fi Audio Q12 (this is an SQ monster!)
Custom Fiberglass enclosure (Trunk) - 1.4 cubic ft. (sealed)
Coming Soon:
Dynamat!!!!!
Front stage - Focal 165KR2
Amplifier - Focal FPS2160 (w/ FPS High Caps)

looks good so far. just curious, why did you pick the Kenwood KIV over the KDC excelon models?

Well, prior to ordering the KIV, I did not realize that it was not an Excelon model (although it does have pretty much all the goodies). My reason for choosing the KIV was due to the screen and fact that all the iPod connections would be on back and hidden. The headunit that I really wanted was one of the Pioneer audiophile grade units for SQ which retail for about $1500.

Yes...talking about the new Pioneer DEX-P99RS. Do you have any experience with or opinion about that particular headunit or something comparable.

I have that headunit but I havent installed it yet, I still have to get a few more misc items to complete my system. I also have the DEH P880RS in my 240sx and it sounds phenomenal especially for the price. I like pioneers interface its easy to understand and setup. The main reason I decided to go with the P99RS is because it supports 4 way active and its easily the most beautiful headunit on the market.
