Audio Install pics
Here's some pics of my audio install, and one of the car at night. Bacchus and I did the install in one day and it went very smooth. The sound is great, althought a decent amount of bass seems to escape from the car with the top down at 50mph +
The sub may be a little under powered, but it still sounds good and I'm very happy with it. Always room to improve tho

As always, these pics and more can be found on my website by clicking the WWW button on my posts. Thanks!

Which 10W3v2 Sub did you get? The Dual 4 ohm coil perhaps? If so, check this post out for info about getting the most out of the amp. Your fronts are most likely 4 ohm...

Dual 2 ohm actually...hmm did you swap yours out for the dual 4 yet? Does it sound better?
Is this to get more power to the fronts, or to the sub? It reads liks the ohm of the sub is effecting the power to the fronts, but is still 150 to the sub regardless of what ohm it is, is that true?
I'm curious now because I would like some more power/sound from the sub if I could.
Thanks!

I assume that you have the dual 2ohm wired to 4ohms, cuz otherwise the amp would go into protect. With that in mind, according to the amp manual, you have a 4 ohm stereo load on the front channel and a 4 ohm bridged load to the rear. This will cause the amp to provide 38x2 to the front and 150x1 to the rear. The rear does not always get 150. For example, if you had a dual 6 ohm wired to 12 ohms, you would get 75x2 and 100x1.
Basically, because there is only one power supply, the amp is picking the highest current (lowest resistance) setting and going with that. This is why the 4ohm fronts, 8 ohm sub is ideal. The amp sees the same load to the front and the rear (remember, the amp sees 4 ohms when 8 ohms are bridged across two channels).
I have not gotten my sub installed yet. It's been ordered, but has not arrived. Unfortunately, I will likely not get the opportunity to hear the difference, as the shop is going to switch the driver before the install.
