I agree with you lovegroova, the biggest differences made by running Imprint were in soundstage and mid-frequencies - and that floored me. These were the two strongest attributes of the DLS speakers. I also feel there is a richer, more full sound - but that could be the DLS starting to break-in. As your in the UK (sorry for not noticing that in my previous post), you may have listened to some DLS set-ups. The soundstage from these components is incredible. Before Imprint, the best place to listen was 15ft (5m) away from the car. Now the sound is more focused towards the center of the interior space. I like both set-ups and kept them. ) Absolutely love that about Imprint.

The mid tones are even better and I wouldn't have thought that possible. This is due to the Imprint. The mids produced by the Nordica's are jaw-dropping; lush, full and vibrant.

I just got back in town and I'll see if it's possible to get screen shots from before and after on Imprint and post results.

Regarding the sound deadening, this was an area where we originally thought we buggered ourselves. One goal was to drop weight. We added 20lbs of sound deadening throughout the car but dropped 40lbs give or take by removing spare tire, tools, etc.

During our drives before the car was fully assembled, we thought it was too quiet. Now we love it. The car has a very tight feel, no squeaks/rattles, no transmission whine; think BMW 3 series or Lexus IS. It wasn't planned this way but we're happy with the results. Just a more solid feeling ride. Kinda funny but the car seems to handle better. Could be attributed to not driving it much for 8 months or maybe the weight we did add is in the center.

The effect of weight is largely overstated IMO. On track I notice no real difference with a passenger on board.

If you're going racing, then by all means strip the car out, but for most of us, small changes in weight aren't really going to affect things at all.

The biggest difference I noticed when changing weight was the big improvement in ride quality when I fitted my JDM BBS wheels.

Glad you're loving the Imprint, it really is very good indeed. I think I'm going to revamp the interior of my car in the spring. Swap the seats around, tidy up, add sound deadening and so on. My car's just covered 100k miles, so everything is getting a makeover - currently in for a full respray.

Hi FuzzKill

We spent about $100 for a gallon of V3 and 20sq ft of eDead 80. The change is dramatic. Some is due to the new carpet / padding we had installed. There's no more transmission whine, no rattles, etc. All we hear is the exhaust - which is perfect for us.

My wife did a lot on this project. We've got a couple of threads going in the Interior section and I'm posting our completed pics now. She wrapped the interior in CF wrap! It came out looking really cool. Thanks for the feedback.
very clean and impressive work. Good job, I've been thinking of upgrading the audio on my S too, am saving up money. Do it once, do it right.
