Audio Pros - help me.
After reading the "audio FAQ" and trying to make sense of the whole "audio theory", I've decided on the following setup for my AP1.
Just wondering if I'm getting a proper setup (HU wattage vs speaker wattage and output). I just get confused at this stuff, im just looking for a good clean crisp fun sound. Bass is not important to me.
Will this setup fit physically correctly and do you guys have any other recommendations?
Head Unit - Alpine ida-x305 (RMS 18watts)
Crutchfield Specs
Front Speakers - Polk Audio db651s (RMS 6-55watts)

You should get the DB 6501 (components with a separate tweeter). If your s2000 does not have a location for the tweeter. you can get the OEM tweeter grills from honda (from an ap2).
Installation of the tweeters higher in the door with a proper crossover setup will raise the sound level in the car and make it much easier to hear the music. This is especially important in the s2000 where its hard to get good sound due to the nature of the convertible.
If you wanting to make the most of your headunit's power then you'll want to set your headunit's HPF (high pass filter) to anywhere between 50-63hz. This will cut out the lowest bass which your headunit will have difficultly reproducing @ high volume since you will not be running a separate amplifier.

Dont you just have to cut it out and glue them in?
But yea, all you have to do is cut and mount the tweeter, or just buy/have some a-pillars made, or just get 02-03 door panels.
