Default Audio Recommendations

After going back and forth a few times i think i've finally narrowed it down to this:

CDA-117 w/ Modifry DCI
Image Dynamics CTX 65CS components
Sundown Audio SAX 100.4D amp
2big4as2000's foot well sub

Any thing i should look at swapping out? spending too much since i'm top down most of the time?

I listen to a pretty broad spectrum of music from bluegrass to techno with most of my time spent switching between rock and rap. I'm looking more for SQ than teeth rattling SPL and spend most of my time top down so highway speed listening is a major priority.

I have the cda-117, and it's sweet. I think the Modifry DCI is overkill, but a good product nonetheless. Let us know when you've got the system installed and pounding.

I should be ordering everything next week, i think i've changed my mind on the components and am going to try out the HAT imagines though. Might have to postpone it a couple of week though since some jackhole backed into my front corner this weekend. need to see how much that person's mistake is going to cost me since they ran off.

That'll be a good set up. I have my 117 in the jeep since it's my daily and I love it. It's a really user friendly model, and it's expandable for any add-on you could want. Hope you enjoy it!

I agree, I have the CDA-117 and it is awesome! Really simple and the sound is incredible! And as far as the Modifry DCI, if you want it, get it, but I personally don't think it's necessary.

i have exclusively used the dash controls since i've had the car so it'd be worth for me to have a simple plug n play solution (with his alpine harness) to use them.

Well then you might want to get it! I was never really consistent with the dash controls so I didn't really see the point!

Im not really sure about the CDE-123. For me, it was a decision between the CDA-117 (which I got), and the iDA-X305S. I knew I wanted an Alpine head unit, and those two were ones that I have actually seen and gotten to mess with in person, and thought they were the best.

Hi,

I highly recommend the 6.5" HAT Imagine speakers! They are such accurate, smooth and clean speakers... You absolutely can not go wrong with a set.

Do not install these speakers into your factory S2000 tweeter pods or door panels as components! Do not even bother to trying! You will achieve much better results by running these speakers as a coaxial. While listening to these speakers as coaxials, you can not tell where your highs are coming from, let alone from your ankles.

Adjust your head unit's time alignment, EQ and High Pass Filters and enjoy your music!
