Audio upgrade halfway there....Thanks Lucid
The upgrade is in the works. I went to Lucid for rears and for the Multi DCI switch. I also installed an Alpine HU (7894).
The initial installation was done by a "professional". The only problem was that the results were very un-professional. This "installer" could not get the DCI switch to work, so when I picked up my S, the dash controls did not work. I pm'ed Lucid and he suggested that some of the pins may have been bent upon connecting the DCI switch to the HU wire harness. I pulled the HU out tonight and the pins were bent! I unbent them and just like that, the DASH CONTROLS work! Thanks again Lucid!
After I added the rears, the sound was noticeably different. So much louder! Cruising on the highway, topless, I can hear my CDs now. If your thinking about a initial upgrade, I suggest adding rears.
That was the first half of my install. Part 2 takes place this Tuesday. I am adding an MB Quart Component set that will replace the OEM door speakers. I am also adding an amp to power the component set. But, cant stop there. A 10" sub will also be built into the trunk to finish (I hope!) my system.
I'll have pics after the install is complete.
Take care.......

Rears will be powered by the HU (The Alpine 7894 has an internal amp that can power the rears). The sub and component set will be powered by the amp. 2 channels for the components, Bridge the other 2 for the sub.
