Its an Apexi V-AFC (V-tec - Air, Fuel, Controller)

I took the stock visor and cut out some of the hard foam and the metal rods. I cut it to the exact size of the controller. Then I cut a channel for the wire to go through. My wiring is completely hidden except, right by the left side hinge above the gauge pod. I then dremeled away some of the stock plastic up behind the hinge for the wiring. I had the visor wrapped in black leather vinyl. the wiring that comes with the controller is long enough to reach the ECU under the dash. You have to solder the wiring onto the ECU harness or onto an 'frog harness'. Its an adapter harness that goes between the ECU and the ECU wiring so you don't have to cut up you stock wiring harness.

I have more somewhere but I'm not sure where I'll have to find them if you need to see.

That's a great idea darkknight, hidden and out of the way from thief. I was going to go with the radio door installation but I might try going like how you had yours. One question though, does it affect the way the visor leans up agains the top? or when the converitable is down?

Well as for it hitting the top , it doesn't it rests' right were it normally would just sits about a 1/4 inch lower... you barely notice it. With the V-AFC once you have it tuned you really shouldn't be messing with it unless you're back on the dyno becuase you changed out an engine mod... being you added one ot removed one.

As for the sunlight its like the front of a radio once in a while it hits it and hides it but no matter where you place the unit its bound to happen. I did it this way because most people place them infront of the radio door or just stick it to the dash some place which drives me just crazy!

What about placing the VAFC where the ash tray? is at by removing the tray itself.

You can put in on the console, just watch your elbows on the buttons

You need to set it up. It is a universal part so you need to set it to your car and everyones engine is different. You really should have it dyno tuned.
