Aux. inputs with cd changer
I have a MY02 with the stock HU. I have an Alpine S630 6 disc CD changer connected to it. I want to purchase a satellite (XM) radio tuner and connect it through aux. inputs. My question is this, is there anything like the Pie Hun-Aux that will give me a set of aux inputs but still allow me to keep my CD changer plugged in.
I don't want to use an RF Modulator, and I don't want to invest in a new HU/cd changer. How can I install satellite radio?

I have a Similar setup. Crutchfield sold me an adapter that goes between the CD changer and the HU and has RCA inputs I was using for MX radio. These inputs will also accept a tape input from a casset. BTW the satellite antenna works well inside the hidden compartment. Actually I stoped using the MX in the car and now use it on my bench at work. I get more use out of it that way. With MP3s in the CD changer MX in the car is a bit of overkill. I use the Delphi by theway and the car kit works fine in the house and at work. The output from the Delphi is plenty high to drive headphones.

Traditional CDs! Makes me feel OLD! I think the normal expression is "red book", or the .ext used when you put them into your computer to play or rip. However this does reinforce my theory that the HU is the conversion location to go from MP3 to normal audio. OK what you want is to hear MX. Check and see if you can use the Alpine MX receiver and feed the CD changer into it and then both through the link into your HU. You will also need the seperate control function as I am certain that the stock HU will not control the MX reciever. Good luck
