Default Aux jack

Hello all,

I tried searching around for other threads on aux jack adapters but they all featured old eBay links that were dead...

Can anyone recommend one of the units that hook up to the back to the radio with a standard aux input jack for an iPod/iPhone?

The S is only 5 days old to me but the radio posts couldn't be older.

Cheers!

Do all of them come with the charger? I'm really only interested in having the jack but I haven't seen any that are only jack without the charger...

Check out blitzsafe.com. Works perfectly. It is not a charger. I bought mine from discountcarstereo.com. Search youtube "how to remove radio door on Honda S2000" for a short video on getting to the back of the radio. Install took me 10 minutes.

Check with the usual suspects: Blitzsafe, Dice, USA Spec, Pac Audio, etc.

Some do, some don't. If you don't want to charge there are plenty of options for Aux inputs without the dock connector. However, for best audio quality you'll want to use the dock connector.

Yep! Pretty straight forward, the hardest part was removing the radio door trim actually. The only weird thing is that there was 'supposed' to be an empty slot behind the radio but I had a plug in it - not sure what it was for so I took it out and put in the aux adapter kit's plug. Everything works fine, the dash controls still work on the radio, I'm happy.

As for wiring: I found a hole on the passenger's side next to the glove compartment that led behind the radio. Routed the main plug through there and into the radio and thankfully, the power transformer block thing whatever fit too, so now it's in a little cubby under the radio. The aux cable and power cable rest in the passenger side net pocket thing and I just pull them out when I need them (aux cable always stays out anyway),

Check the link in my signature and you'll see the install in my s1ck real Japan JDM build. Only thing is that what I did in that thread was another method of routing which I went back and reconfigured because of a little wire pinching. I can post some pictures when I get home of what it looks like the way I have it now if you want.

Early cars had a CD changer port on their headunits, but no wiring - installing a changer meant running the harness to the trunk.
Later cars had the harness pre-installed to ease installation of the optional changer.

Didn't know that, thanks for letting me know, I was really curious what the plug was for
