Im actually working on a couple of products to fit double din and standard filp outs into the s2k. I dont like cutting dashes. My car will be the test mule. Im kind of a perfectionist so I wont have an end product until its perfect. Ill keep you posted.

Remember, even if you get it you fit, when you race someone, and slam it into third, your fist will go right through the screen.
Becareful moving the air bag control module under the HU.
I see your new here but from reading your posts it sounds like you work at an install shop. But have you done any research on this subject. Many people have tried to fit a screen in the stock location with little or no modification... and so far no one has done it.
I'll be very impressed if you figure out how to mount a screen into the stock location with little or very basic mods.
I've seen a screen in that location but it was far from being a quick install or the like.
I own a mobile audio video store with a full fiberglass and plastics working area.
Yes, I know what is involved with the S2k which is why i want to do it. Im more interested in getting the double din chassis to fit. I am going to try to use the new Clarion MAX675VD. I dont know if you guys have seen this unit or not yet but it is unreal. Plus the double din would also eliminate the knuckles to the screen which is what you will find with the normal flip outs. I actually found that the Kenwood Kvt-817DVD, because of the screen adjustments isnt that bad in there and fits with little modification. This "project" will end up being my demo vehicle for my store, so like i had said previously it has to be perfect. I have another full dash being shipped to me as we speak so the design can be mocked up outside the car and finished off in detail before it ever sees my car car.
Your talking about trying to fit a double din in this space right?
Most people here know I'm all about custom, but I'll be very inpressed if you can fit this:
Into the stock location without having to do a LOT of custom work. You said you were going to make a kit which would be cool but your gonna have to be pretty fancy to fit a full double din into a single din location and still have everything work(ie:vents, airbags...). If there weren't so much wiring and air bag unit in that whole I'd say sure it will work but honestly you have a very long road ahead of you to make it work properly. Good luck with it though... your gonna need it
Trust me I know. But thats what makes our jobs fun right? Im going to have to go up and try to make some new vents that will be located on the sides of the unit deleting the flip door. We will see guess.
Hey I noticed on another post your G5 in the well box.
Im an authorized Boston dealer. Wanted to see what your take was on the new SPG555 that should be shipping March?
