B-Quiet Ultimate vs B-Quiet Extreme
Has anyone used these products and can confirm if they are equally as good as dynamat, worse, better....
Also, B-Quiet ultimate is about twice as expensive as BQ extreme. Has anyone used extreme? What were the results. I wondering if it is worth the extra money to get ultimate...or if extreme will be just fine. I dont really care about the 10% more weight extreme has....if it works as well, its fine with me.

cool. thanks. I dont know how much that helped me...but it pretty much explained butyl was the way to go(I think). So, for the money, I purchased the 100sqft of B-Quiet Ultimate- for $240, and should have some left over that I can resell to someone if needed. This project is costing more time and money than I had hoped.
Im installing this stuff over spring break...a week and a half

I used 5 rolls of B-Quiet Ultimate and love the stuff. It goes on easily and is very effective.
In addition to the "normal" places, you will find that doing the inside of the outer door skin is a great help. Also the insides of the fenders (front and rear).
Don't forget to get under the car and put a couple of layers on the road side of the hump between the seats and above the cat and mufflers.
I've heard that Dynamat is sharp and you need gloves. You won't with B-Quiet.
Good luck!

Inside of the fenders? I dont even know how to do that. I would have to take the whole front of the car off first? Then get to the fenders? That may be a bit more than Im willing to do. Do you know how many feet 5 rolls was? I bought a 100, I figured it would be plenty, and I would probably have some to spare it anyone else needed like ~30ft or something.
No, nothing that drastic.
Just remove the front fender liners. They are plastic or vinyl. You can easily reach the inner skin of the fenders once those are off.
30 linial feet won't go very far. If you figure 6 square feet for each door skin and a similar amount for the insde of the door, you'll see it adds up.
