Default Back up Cameras

I tried to search, but did not find much. A few DIY and i'm not that guy.
The rear view mirror's are nice but they are rather big and i think fitment
would be an issue. I'm not going to cut the dash. There are some dash
mounts that will sit on the dash, but i haven't looked into that very far yet.
Wifi with a cell phone. I like the idea but, not real sure about those either.
Show me what you got, im open to any and all suggestions.....

The problem with the phone backup camera apps is you have to open the app (or bring it to foreground) each time you wanna back up. Not exactly convenient.

My suggestion is to replace rearview mirror with one from a Z350. One with the optional monitor screen imbedded inside. I got mine for $40 from ebay. Perfect condition. These also have homelink garage door opener buttons.

Downside is it requires replacing the mounting 'button' on the windshield. Possibility of crack glass.

You can wire in an inexpensive amazon backup camera. You can buy wirong harness from Crutchfield.

Under $100 all in, mirror, camera, harness, etc.

Thats my recommendation.

Actually,I think it was a 370z option, not 350z.

And remember it was only an option. Not all 370z mirrors have it.

The way to tell is the numbers on the back. Hopefully ebay ad has good photo of the back. Here's mine.

The FCC ID needs to end in GHSHL4, which is also the model #.

The camera and monitor required FCC approval, so it has a different ID than the non camera, homelink only mirrors. Homelink also had to get FCC approval.

I installed a single DIN head unit with a 3.5" monitor to display the rear camera output.

What camera did you use for it? I'm installing mine after replacing my windshield. The 3D Printed mount is nice but I have helped 3 people now who had their trunk button stop working so I'd like an alternative option

I used a cheap one from Amazon. Included a bracket. Mount to bumper above plate. Hidden from view.

After much looking and research, that is the easiest and cheapest route to go.
