I have a college buddy that owns a high end stereo shop, He recommended a 4.3 monitor and a tag bracket camera. Cost
for both 250.00 plus another 150 for labor. (he doesn't sell cheap stuff) Going to mount the monitor on the dash above the
ac controls and go in thru the top of the cluster. I'll post pics when i get it installed next week.

interested in seeing how that looks. I like the license plate location, but a HU with a pop-up display would be preferable.
A pop-up display would be nice, but I think our radio location is too recessed for those decks to work.
Yes it is, and i have a very nice alpine head unit installed already. Not only would fitment
be an issue, but looking down is something that i dont like to do. So this is why that i looked to
people that do it everyday. We shall see how it turns out.
I wired up my car with one of those rear view LCD panels. It really gives an unparalleled view of the rear while driving. Can also shut it off with a button to use a typical rear mirror.
The only issue is that it's still kind of tricky to tell where exactly your car is relative to the where the camera is showing (since its hard to find a location to mount where you can see the bumper line in view.
Used a Kenwood KIV-901 that's long been discontinued. If I were to do it today I'd look at the JVC KD-X560BT - I think that's the only single DIN head unit with a rear camera input available today.
I like the fact that I can hide the entire setup with the stereo door cover given how theft-prone our cars can be, and that there's nothing else to bump into in the very limited cabin space.
The rear camera is attached to the underside of the bumper to the right of the license plate light.

The Jvc kd-x560bt is the radio im waiting on clutchfield to restock. It looks decent and isn't bad in price and comes with a back up camera. Amazon has them in stock , but clutchfield has em for same price and comes with the Metra harness kit and installation as well so ill just wait for it to come back in stock. The only thing thats a little off on the jvc is you need to press the "camera" button every time to turn it on, but its not a big deal since the button is near the shift knob.

Thank you for this, you are right, but what sensor so I splice into, I won't be doing this, but I'll let one of my techs install the radio and let them know where to connect incase they don't know already know. Thanks in advance
