Hey guys, i'm trading in the 'lude and picking up my s2k tomorrow. As you all know, the stook comes with the wackest stock speakers. I intend to be with them no longer than a week. Since i just want "drop-in' speakers (maybe seperates). Can i get some feedback on some 6 1/2's with good bass? I've got my eyes on MB Quart separates.

If you like MB Quart get the Q-series... they are fantastic for 2-Way components...

I'm getting Eclipse Point Source 6 1/2" speakers, along w/ some other goodies, installed tomorrow. I had the Eclipses in my Supra Turbo, and they sound awesome, plus I'll maintain a stock appearance. They have a true 2-way crossover, unless most coax speakers, which makes them a lot clearer. I've always loved MB Quarts as well.

Just remember that if you go with ANY separates especially Bostons your gonna NEED an amp. That factory head just wont do it!

5, i still have set of diamond audio separate's available which don't require any cutting of the speaker basket. the cone's made of kevlar so you'll get a stiff bass response and the tweeters' made of silk to give you smoother high frequencies.

The eclipse 82641 or 8263 (both 6 1/2 coaxial) sound great and don't require an amp or a modifification to the basket.

MB Quart.
No doubt about it.
Suggest you have a pro do it though unless you like cutting up your car doors.
