Why would you need to cut the car doors/panels? As long as you make a MDF 1/2" baffle ring to mount the woofer to, the 6.5" soulf fit perfectly into the door and have enough clearance for the panel to fit on... The only reason I had to cut steel was my Dynaudio woofers are 7" but VERY deep (didn't go anywhere near the window and fit behind the stock door panel perfectly). Too bad the Scandinavian 'artists' behind my speakers decided on a 7" woofer...

I would have purchased the MB Quart Q-series (they would have been much cheaper and easier to acquire) if they sold a 3-way set... I just didn't want vocal imaging to start heading to my knees...
