Battery Dead this am
Starting this weekend my after market HU had been turning itself off and on while driving. I figured it must be an electrical short of some short with the HU connections. I figured I'd check it out sometime soon. When I went to start the car this am it did absolutely nothing twice and then the 3rd time there was a rapid clicking sound. Got a jump and the car started just fine. I was told by a friend that if there was a short issue that it would continue to drain the battery. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what it could be? Could it be that one of the connections for the head unit has some how come loose? Any suggestions are appreciated.

I had the same problem. I thought it was the battery at first but I over looked it because it was a 7 month old optima(yellow top) battery. After trying everything, I decided to bring the battery to a local parts store with a battery tester. The tester came up with a defective battery. So, I replaced the battery with a generic one and had no problems since.
