Default Battery Dead... could the stereo be the culprit?

So I just got back from my 9 day trip and go start my car. Realized that the lights inside did not turn on when i opened the door and there is no power what so ever. The car is a MY06 and I dont see how the battery could have died within 9 days already. It got me thinking if somehow my stereo install with component speakers is the reason for the dead battery. Is it possible for a wrong install of the stereo/ speakers to drain the battery? Any ideas? or do I really just have a bad battery?

Thanks

John

Please accept this as only guesses.
The only power supplied to the car that I can think of with the ignition completely off is the interior lighting. Are you sure both doors were completly closed?
If you disconnected the battery, are you sure both cables are tight?
If you used an aftermarket harness adaptor, are you positive that your new HU shuts completely off when the key is removed?
These are the first things I'd check before going any further. Good luck

i have the same problem here. since i dont use my car often, if i dont drive it in two dates, the battery totally drains. i believe it is the radio install.
