I've been trying to look around for the best single din carplay unit for an AP2 that doesn't require any cuts and am unsure of the best solution. Any recommendations?

I looked into that thread but it seemed like there we're some negative reviews on the product.

 

Thats because its not really a quality product, I think the best solution is getting one of the double din kits and fitting the Sony unit to it. It ain't cheap, but if you want the best....

However, if you desire to keep the stock look with the door, I don't think there is another solution than the one from Walmart, but you'll have to live with some of its shortcomings.

 

I'm tempted to try the new Joying 8.9 inch unit The outside measurements on the screen is actually slightly smaller than the previous 8.8 version so fitment should hopefully be good.

From the videos I've seen on the installation the screen pretty much covers all the exposed area behind it.

 

i have a file for an angled bit that will make it easier to see if you want it.
