Default Best component speakers to run with Alpine 9815??

I just ordered a Infinity Basslink X and wanted to swap in some component speakers. I want to use the output from the alpine deck to make everything simple. I think it's peak power is 240 watts, and 140x4 rms. Any suggestions? Most I want to spend is around 250.00

definitely not those power levels... which Alpine deck do you have?

you're probably closer to 25Wrms x 4.

and some of the better componet sets i know for lower power levels are the Infinity RS series and the Focal Access. check them out for a nice smooth accurate sound.

Gotta love good marketing Phil......I used to think my sad little Blaupunkt pumped out a solid 60RMS.....

The best I have ever seen was my old Rockford which juiced 25RMS. I dont think they have HUnits that can do any higher at this time.

But 140x4......my amp cant do that much.....

If you throw the basslink where the spare sits, it will overpower the speakers (if they are just powered by the HU) unless you turn the bass waaaaay down. Do yourself a favor and get an amp.

woops sorry...I typed the rms power wrong hehe. It's actually 27x4 rms. Will the Infinity Kappas or perfects 6.5 be underpowered by my deck?

Yes, they need more juice to sound clear. Put them in for now (itll still be better than stock) and save some loot for an amp. Well worth it.

Phil, my favorite saying ever.....

"NO HIGHS, NO LOWS, IT MUST BE BOSE."

Also, ever notice how ABSOLUTELY NONE of bose's products carry a power rating.....the only thing I give them is those little 2 inch home theater cube thingies, they do sound pretty decent. But for a 1000 bucks, they better wax my car every saturday morning too.
