Default Which is the best under-seat amp for the S2K?

Is there an amp out there that will fit comfortably under the passenger seat, take speaker inputs, and just run the 2 door speakers?

All I want to achieve is to be able to hear the audio above 70mph with the roof down. I don't want to add any more weight or complication than I need to, I'm not too bothered about sound quality, I don't want to take up any trunk space, and I want to keep the stock head unit. I may upgrade the door speakers though.

The Alpine PCX looks a bit like overkill and I'm guessing won't take speaker inputs.

Any ideas?

I have a Genesis 2 channel that lives under the (RHD) passenger seat but there aren't many amps that will live under a left hookers passenger seat

Thanks - its a RHD car that I have. What is the model number of your amp and does it accept speaker level inputs? Also, I'm guessing it doesn't overheat in that location (I'm thinking of fixing one down with velcro to avoid cutting the carpet and this may be pushing things on the heat front)?

I just installed the BOSS BASS600 powered sub in my car and it totally changed the sound. The problem that I was having is that at high speeds, the wind noise was drowning out all the lows. I was hearing treble just fine. Installed this baby, and no more problems. Sure, it doesn't rattle my car or anything, but it really increases the sound range. It will stick out a bit from under the front seat though, and if you have the seat slid forward (if you're short) then it might not fit, but for me it's great.

Genesis Profile Two info here:Genesis
It's a no to speaker inputs - buy an Alpine head unit, I think Mikey K still has one for sale on the UK forum.
Mine is fixed down with Velcro - no problems.
No sign of overheating - it has a built in cooling fan anyway which to my knowledge has never come on.
I have an oldish Alpine HU with Infinity speakers and this amp produces a Hi-Fi sound, loud enough to hear at speed.

Where about in Hampshire are you? If you are passing through Camberley sometime come and have a listen.
Thanks for the extra info but I think I'm going to go for one of these:

I'm going to make a cardboard model of the same dimensions first to see if it will fit. I'm not as bothered about "sound quality" as I am about keeping the stock head unit to make the car looking like it left the factory with its OEM head unit. That's why I wanted an amp with speaker level inputs (the stock head unit doesn't have pre-outs).

sony makes a very small 4x50w "full-range class D" amp. alas only the
rear channels can be bridged, so you can only use it as 4 or 3 channel,
not as a bridged 2-channel. I have no personal experience with it, but
if it suits your needs may be worth a try.
