Best way to mount an iPhone to an S2000
Well I guess I assumed that it would not work based on what I was told by the guy who sold me the adapter. I just checked this morning and the Alpine does charge the iPhone. I now know what happens to people who assume...
Hehe - well look at it this way - now you get a more streamlined setup for no more $$. =]
I like your mount, but it is for the naked phone. I'm going to have my phone in a case always so I'm going to need something that adapts to phone size. Ugh, it looks like I'm going to have to shell out the dough for a proclip ($70) unless there is a good alternative that mounts to an AMPS pattern.

I hope you find a good solution for the mount for the iPhone. The next project I am looking into would be to have my iPhone mounted a little higher in a centered position so it could take advantage of the video recording feature on the phone so I could have a makeshift in-car camera.
This expensive beast seems to be the best device holder I've found for phones in cases. I just don't want to pay $80 like a schmuck.

The issue with many, not sure about all, HU's is they take command of the ipod. You don't have controle over playback via the ipod, only via the head unit.

Those won't work if the phone is in a case.
