I know a couple of Electrical Engineers that I am going to ask about my idea.

I would like to put RGB led's behind the tach that progressively shift from green-orange-red as the rpm's increase, but I don't have the controller knowledge to pull it off.

As a personal opinion I don't think that color change would look nice.. just an opinion!
I would rather get a Stack instrument panel.

Hey guys,

If I get a minimum of 10 people interested in the PCB ONLY, i will start offering them with or without LEDs at the following prices:

With LEDs mounted: $350 + shipping
Without LEDs mounted: #250 + shipping.

Thanks!
Count me in as number 1

I have acutaly come up with this, individual LED "blocks", separete boards with leds, turnes out to be WAY cheaper, and seems to be easier for install too

Now i still need to get the color diffusers, anybody has an idea where to get them?

hmm, based on what I see, this would be hard to mount. When you mill out the cluster housing, you only have 2 or 3 flat plastic 'bases' to attach the PCB with the LEDs. Unless you glue these blocks to a thin plastic base cut to match the milled housing, I don't see how you would mount them in, also making sure they are all flat and far enough away from the actual LCD.

The diffuser is the hardest part to obtain, but it ultimately depends on how far you situate the LEDs.

Wiring that lot together is a doddle, then order some acryllic off of the web - ebay usually has some.

Hell, even sheets of cf are a like, only
