Default Boston SR60/ Pro60 Help?

Hello all, I've been doing some research for some time now and I believe I've narrowed my search down to either the Boston SR60s or the Pro60s. I'm leaning towards the SR60s because they run about $100 cheaper and because I have read mixed reviews about whether the Pro60s are worth it in the s2k's noisy environment. I could not find anyone here with the SR60s, but their predecessors (SL60s) seem to have received positive feedback from the community. The speakers I decide on will be paired with a amp and aftermarket hu (although it is unlikely I get a sub at this time).

I would really appreciate any additional feedback that may help me finalize my decision!

Also, is the best way to install these speakers by making a mdf spacer? Or is there an easier alternative?

Thanks a lot for the help!

I have the Boston Pro 60 SE Speakers in my doors with full Dynamat running and Alpine HU and Amp and they sound fantastic! They are a little bright, but you can easily adjust it by turning down the treble a little. They really came into their own though when I added my JL subwoofer and sub amp. I set the highpass crossover at 80 Hz and just let my sub handle anything below that. Makes for an outstanding sound system.

At the risk of asking something stupid: these aren't drop-ins, are they?

I would have to say that they will need a bracket to fit, easy to make tho.
