i'm fairly sure it's a 7443 bulb. you should be able to find replacements based on that number.

Careful with LED's. I would recommend you do not put them into your brake lights. MY whole car is pretty much LED's but not the brakelights. They are a lot less visible, ano not visible during the day at all, unless you are 3 feet behind them, looking directly into them. Phil was right, the bulb is 7443, but again I strongly advise you not to change the brake bulbs....the reflectors on the 04 S2000 were specially designed to reflect LED light. The 00-03 will not reflect the light, and your brakelights will look like an alarm led. Just a thought...

thanks Dave,

i'm going to make a mental note of that fact for the future.

since you mentioned that you're using LED's just about everywhere else, here's a question for you:

i cleared my headlights (w00t! ) a while ago and wanting to stay at least reasonably legal, i went with amber bulbs for the front parking and turn lights. (i'm not one who hates all things amber, i just hate the big amber strips on the front of the car. ) the bulbs for both had a nice dark amber glow when new, but in the past 3 months the parking lights have faded to look almost clear/white when lit. i like the appearance of the darker amber look and want it back...
how do the amber 194/163 (?) LED bulbs look? are they bright enough to still be recognizable? are you even using amber? and which manuf. are you using?

No problem phil,
The parking lights I am using are PIAA's that I got from ebay for 10 bucks....just search for "LED 168" Get them in White (so you have a nice glow at night (these arent the blinkers) and they match the HID's perfectly. For the signals....at the time, I bought clear LED's which looked great, and worked well, but because of the voltage difference ( 0.5V vs 12V) I got the dreaded hyperblink. So I just used the stock bulbs. However, you can now get the resistors and your lights will work great. I got them (lights) from
superbrightleds.com You can atually forget ebay and get all the bulbs from these guys. Their lights are very high quality and CHEAP!!! Dont get the inverted cone LED's (youll see what I mean when you see them) Get the regular 4 LED exposed ones 194/168type The turn signals are 7443. The LED's do look great tho...the instant on/off is really nice looking and the light is much sharper. Also, I noticed my voltage for my system is higher since I changed all the bulbs to LED's. They also have some great interior LED's as well....bright as florida sunshine.

Oh...and to answer your other question.....for the parking lights, I got the white LED's.....I hate amber anything.....

The turn signals are STOCK honda clear bulbs....I kinda dig the look. I hate the orange glow you get when you put an orange colored bulb into a clear headlight. The leds are clear, but blink amber.....

Ill take a pic for you so you can see what they look like HID's on and off.

Well, I got the LED taillamps, and I like em! They are slightly less bright that the incandescant bulbs, but not noticable unless u compare rear ends. I'm replacing all bulbs to LEDs, except the reverse light arent availible from superbrightleds.com... any sources out there?
