Default Bypassing Key Cylinder to Directly Start Car

Hey guys,

Have a question that I'm sure is going to raise a few eye brows but, please just bear with me.

How can I start and stop my s directly through the engine start button, aka without having to insert the key and turn it to acc?

The fear of the car getting broken into and the person just hitting the start button is not a reality due to some of the other aspects of my build. The electronic part though of bypassing the key mechanism I just can't seem to grasp.

Any suggestions/wiring diagrams/links would be greatly appreciated!

well you would have to rig up either some switches for turning on the ignition wires and acc wires... not only that you have to deal with the immobolizer in the car...

The easiest way that I know of is install a remote start but dont use it as a key fob type of remote start, hook the activation wire from the remote start to your push button start. So when you push the button it remote starts the car.. Also you cant hook up the brake wire to the remote start because it will just turn off when you apply the brake... And to turn it off, install a switch somewhere that is hooked to ur remote starts brake wire. That will end the remote start.... As for hte immbolizer there are plenty of modules you can buy to bypass..
Actually pretty simple..

I say attach a relay to the same circuit as the door unlock and use the relay to trigger the car into acc/on, that way when you unlock the doors the car turns on, then sit down and push the start button. Then do the same with the door lock circuit to shut it down. You could also install a kill switch somewhere to shut it down too. Should be pretty cheap too, just some relays and mabey a solenoid or two Hmm, mabey I will do this.

Or even the "acc" to the driver door, and "on" to the passenger door. That way one push of the unlock button puts you into acc, and two pushes turns it on.

if you do it that way you need a special relay, because relays dont stay on unless you have a constant connection..

I don't think it will be possible due to the immobilizer chip in the key. It's there to prevent this exact thing from happening.

there are ways to bypass the immobilizer easiest being, cram your spare key under your dash next to the key cylinder. I wonder how close the key would need to be, maybe you could extend the range somehow so it would read from your pocket

Yes special relay, good idea. The whole plan would need some fine tuning, but I think the idea is sound. I really want to try it, but security is more important at the moment, maybe when I get garage parking...

Let me know if you decide to go ahead with it, I am going to do more thinking about this.

I was wondering if you could find a wrecked Nissan with the intelligent key and use the brains along with the S2K push button. The acura equilivent is still fairly new or maybe the same thing from another brand. I think it is possible but don't have a lot of knowledge on the topic.

I thought about this before, everything is very possible, but what about unlocking the steering wheel lock?
