^ or you need an LED that also rearward facing to make use of the factory reflector

- i feel your pain
Some are facing rearward and to the sides and out, the halogen lens and reflector does not work with the leds.

We have a map light in our car?
I do. A dome light and two map lights all in one cluster at the top center of the windshield header. Maybe it's an AP2 thing.

edit: Oops, more like two map lights both of which light up as a "dome light" when I open the door or move the switch to ON.

Had a little hiccup tonight, unable to post pics. I got my car back from the body shop, and I had to clean up a couple things they failed to do (overspray, a little polishing here and there, and the big one- take the front bumper off because the tech forgot to put two bolts on that hold the light to the fender, so the light was not aligned correctly). I will have pics tommorow.

What I can tell you is. I received two bulbs.

One was the super star which was $6.99

The other one was the super nova which was $9.99

Well the super nova was bright, very bright, but it was yellowish and then it blew!

The super star was the same color as the original 5 led matrix bulb, but brighter, much nicer. I will take pics.

I wish I would of taken a pic of the super nova, but it blew. I did not like it, compared to the other two bulbs, it looked like a normal halogen bulb when compared to an HID light, but it was freaking bright!!!!

Pics tommorow, sorry.

Do me a favor, can you take a pic during daylight, with the light off, to see where/how it sits?

I'm just starting to explore the lighting venues for our s2000 - I have a ton of different brand LED's for various cars - just spent 3 hours working on a new 997 Carrera replacing all the lights. That car is amazing in how easy the headlight just pops out! No bumper removal or anything!

OK back to the s2000, I test fitted my hyperwhite LED light bar to the license plate area. Instead of just fitting a 194 wedge LED bulb I tried 2 different setups.

First pic is with just a (x3) SMT LED bulb that is the same size as OEM so just play/play.

The next 3 pics show the custom LED light bar I plan on installing into the upper area. Of course this will require some customization but I think it will really improve the lighting area and give it the Lexus look. The color is a very intense white light

wow that's pretty bright! Is the LED in the last pic same as the one above it? Is there a control for the brightness? If there's a simple way to hide it and wire it, I'd be interested. for now I don't mind how the LED's that pikkashoe installed looks.
btw, if I buy a LED bar can you throw in a nice gold bracelet too? j/k
how much are they (the LED bar)?

S4 play, funny you mention the 997 porsche headlights, I work for an insurance company and I get 2 to 3 claims a week where they steal the headlights. Do they just basically pull out. My theory with them was that they where just attached to the car by the wire harness plug.

The led bar is bright!! I will have pics of my car tonight.

NFR you want a pic of the housing? with the cover on or off?
