IF you want a really white bulb, the super nova was whiter. It does not have that bluish tint, but its even brighter than the one in my last pics.

Well the super nova was bright, very bright, but it was yellowish and then it blew!
So was it white at first and then turned yellowish right before it blew?

In any case I don't know if I want to spend 10 bucks on an LED that only lasts a few minutes I suppose I could easily add a resistor to limit the current and the brightness, but it doesn't sound like it's worth the trouble or the money.

Thanks for doing all the comparison and experimenting for us! Now I just need to decide whether I buy the superstar or the matrix

[QUOTE=2slow,Nov 9 2006, 07:35 AM]By the looks of pikkashoe's pics, the superstar is brighter than the matrix, but they're about the same bluish color.

2slow, its actually working. What happened was I pulled it out to quickly and moved the little wire that makes the contact, those with the LED's in hand already will know what I mean.

I will snap a pic tonight! Personally I prefer the SUPER STAR. (that sounds so gay)

Sarek said it perfect, its brighter than the stock bulb, and it gives off a blue tint just like our headlights, but not too blue.

LOL its ok, I want to see you take pictures at night, pitch black with both red taillights and the license plate lamps giving off light and try to recreate it perfect!

No offense taken.

received mine via USPS the other day... everything was packaged well, but did come w/ newspaper as padding.

got them all installed the other night (including the amber front parking lights -- JEEZ i forgot how hard it was to get to them... ).

all in all - i'm quite pleased w/ how they look. the reverse lights don't seem quite as bright as the OEM bulbs, but it's hard to tell for sure. they do have a very good and broad light pattern. the license plate bulb looks great -- thanks for the recommendation pikka. and the amber LED's up front are awesome. you can see them reflecting off the garage wall.

any difference between MY00 and MY03 for those lights (brake lights)? i would be interested in the spiderlite LED's as a cheaper alternative to AP2 lights. Would they fit a MY00?

PJK3 - Anychance of a shot of the amber's from the front (off and on) as my diffusers are removed.

Thanks

John
