Default Car alarm installation

I'm doing my diligent by researching before actually installing this alarm. I'm stuck on how to connect the door lock system. If you look at the Installation Manual on page 20, it talks about the different types of door lock system. I know we have the reverse polarity door lock system, but it doesn't sound correct to me.

On the wiring diagram, there is the power lock and power unlock wires. I don't see how the installation manual on reverse polarity (page 23) connects to the wires in the wiring diagram.

Any help is much appreciated.

we have a 5 wire system. your clifford system should have come with a relay. did you get a 6 wire relay or a 5 wire relay with your system?

Okay, I figure out how to do the door wiring. The main unit actually has a relay inside.

I have another question. I know the hood pin is the yellow/black wire on the security control module. I dont have a security control module under the driver seat, so is there a hood pin wire else where?

You shouldnt have to worry about interfacing the door lock motor wires directly. (ie connecting the locks w/reverse polarity)

There is a gray plug in the drivers kick panel which you can simply pin the lock and unlock into. Typically this gray plug will not be plugged into anything and will be tied up with blue tape.

(in the case which you are using a 451m. Purple goes to GND, Blue is unlock, GRN is lock, white and brown will not be used)

you shouldnt have to worry about reverse polarity at all. Just stick the wires into the plug and make sure they are snug. Or you can strip back the insulation above the plug. Whichever is fine.

if your car does not have OEM security it MIGHT have the plug under the seat. But most likely not, nor will it have the Hood Pin. Since thats an option which comes with the OEM alarm. You will have to install your own hood pin.

S2000 keyless is in the keyless entry module directly behind the starter button. There are two empty slots side by side on the top row...one does lock, the other unlock. Both negative trigger, dont need any relays.

Okay, i came up with another issue. After finding the starter wire (blue/white on the 24 lt bl pin plug), I use a multimeter, turn my key all the way to ignition (the furthest it can turn) and check to see if that wire has a 12V constant (and it does). Than I snip the wire and try to start the engine. Well the engine start so now I'm confuse. Is that really the starter wire?

Looking down below on my back, from right of the steering wheel, you see a gray harness, than a lt blue, follow by another lt blue. The blue/white wire i cut was the first lt blue harness (the middle of the three harness bunch together) I saw.

The starter wire is large gauge BLACK/White in the driver's kickpanel.

It is pretty easy to access. you'll have to remove the panel on the lower left to get to it. Which you probably should have done already.

The blue/white you cut isnt on the list of wires you need for a remote start install. :/ whatever you cut, your in the wrong place totally for the starter wire.
