okay guys...decided on the clifford matrix 12.5x from a local car alarm shop. They said they have worked on a few s2000 and can do it in under 3 hours. I am getting it installed for $500 with the proximity sensors. seems like a good deal what do you guys think? anyone already have this alarm?

clifford rsx3.5 or the viper 791xv. but in general clifford and vipers are good alarms.

just get an alarm that use your OEM remote and have them install alarm for the hood and the trunk too.

got the matrix 12.5x installed today...i'm very happy with the installation with the exception of the proximity sensor. As anyone mounted it in the secret compartment instead of the glove box?

I heard of the Carmate CM1 model and the Hornet 727T model but i havent been able to find much reviews on them. I know they are pretty cheap though and you can find the Hornet 727T for like 50 bucks on amazon.

have you had any luck on reviewing the OEM upgrade alarms?

Sorry to bring up an old topic but I am in need of a security system, I am willing to spend around $600 installed. What are some current models that you all can recommend. Thanks!
