I went to a drive through car wash today and half way through the speakers went dead. I have an Alpine HU which remained on but there is no noise on either speaker. Even at the highest volume, there is not the faint white noise. BTW I have no amp. What the heck could have happened?

 

you're a braver person than I, going through an auto wash...

did you install the radio yourself? did you replace the Honda speakers with new ones? if so, are the stock speaker baffles still in place? Water could have gotten in the doors which could have shorted the speakers if there was nothing there to protect them.

 

It could have been just a coincidence.

My guess:
Remove the removable face and reseat it.
OR
Press the reset button under the faceplate.
