CD Changer Help!?

I traded my 98 Honda Prelude on a 2001 S2000. I had the dealership remove the changer from Prelude, but they said the wire (long connection wire that runs from the truck to the head unit) wouldn't match up with the connector on the S2K. The changer looks visually identical to the current changer. The head units are similar but not the same. The one from the Prelude was not the new backlit LCD, it was just orange numerals.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Can I buy a new cable? I hope someone can help because I really don't want to buy a new changer!
Thanks!

Hello Keith,
I believe the Honda CD changer attachment kit (P/N 08B26-S2A-100) contains the BUS cable you require. I am sure H and A (site sponsor) can supply this kit and confirm if it will work with the changer from your Prelude.
Hope this helps

I thought virtually all of the Honda CD changers were rebadged Alpine M bus changers with Honda specific DIN plugs.
I had my 1992 Honda changer repaired by this site. They are experts on this stuff and could build you a cable and tell you about compatibility, I'm sure.
