Default Cell Phone mount help

I want to mount my cell onto my dash so that i can see when someone calls and also have a visible clock (think v60 or samsung a500). i would like to run a hands free wire from the mount down into the air vents above the radio and then snake it down to the console tunnel and bring the wire up into the little coin holder behind the cup holder. I then want to mount a female plug onto the left wall of the coin holder so that i can quickly plug in a hands free kit into the console as my company now requires the kit for all cell calls while on business.
My questions: do they offer hands free extension cords? i havent found them anywhere, probably ask radio shack this week.
if they dont offer them, what is the makeup of a hand free cord? ie. can i buy some other cable and make it what i want? I think it might be regular headphone cable with one channel going to the mic and the other for the speaker
final question (and maybe the best one): does anyone have a better solution? (short of waiting for bluetooth)
My ultimate goal is to have a single cord showing and a non obtrusive hands free kit option while driving.

next step will be to run a quick charger wire with the hands free wire so that the display stays backlit at night and also charges the phone on the road, i think i can hard wire the charger into the fuse panel like my detector so that the power source stays available

Now I wait for smart people to help me.

If you want a nice, clean install, go with a Pro-fit mount. Here's a pic of mine. It only costs about $20 - 30 and installs in minutes. It uses exisitng holes behind the stereo door and can accomodate any installation.

Look here, since this picture, I have upgraded to a full install phone unit. I'll try and post pics tomorrow.

Don't know about the particular phones you mention but in my experience you'll find two problems:
1) finding the right connector to connect to your phone - if it's a simple jack then you're OK but many brands use special connectors that you can't buy off the shelf
2) noise - you'll probably get interference on the signal, especially if there's another connector in the path from headset to phone. You may need to experiment with the configuration of the cable (overall screened, mic and earpiece individually screened etc.) and capacitors as close to the mic as possible. It's a bit of a black art and for a custom configuration like yours you'll probably need a bit of trial and error before you (and the person you call) get acceptable quality.

I have the same thing Airgate has.

I have a Siemens S46 and I have the lighter plug handsfree mount. I took the MIC attached it to the phone holder and made a neat little hands free.

Additionally that mount also works great for holding my IPOD, which is usually what sits in there now!
