Default Cell phone as an MP3 player in my S?

Hey guys....im not to great with this kind of stuff so bear with me if i say something stupid. Im gonna get a new cell phone soon...and I was thinking of getting the Motorola E815, it is MP3 compatible and i know it has a removable flash drive type of memory stick. Now i was wondering if I could get a larger flashdrive for the phone(maybe around 512) and use that with this, http://www.logjamelectronics.com/piehonaux.html an AUX conversion plug, so i could play MP3 songs through my stereo?????? and if this is possible......how would it relatively sound to cd's and everything else. And if im missing a step to my setup please let me know wat more i need.

thanks

if it has some sort of output, I think you'd be ok with it.

I have a Motorola E680i Cell Phone that i imported. I use it to listen to music with my Bluetooth headphones. The quality of sound is CD quality, and i can hold up to 2gb of memory. The thing is that the Bluetooth headphones cost me around 100

yeah I have a nokia 6230 which I have used in the past in conjuction with a bluethooth to hookup to the stereo. I also had 512mb mmc , its pretty cool, but because of the way the phone is setup its functionality as an mp3 player is fairly limited.

Can view folder contents, or list of all tracks
Can skip to any track, but must scroll through them, not too slow
can FF or RW but only in 5 sec increments.

But ofcourse all of this has to be done with the phone, which kind of puts a a damper on the whole blue tooth this and that.

I love my 6230 dont get me wrong but its 1.5yrs old now, and unless the new mp3 phones are significantly improved , i think you will find it to be too much effort for what its worth.

The S is for driving anyway.

headphones in the car? great driving tips tonite. in another thread an S driver wasn't looking at the road while driving.....

Anyway, buy the adapter that turns the CD CHANGER into a rca input. That allows just about everything to work Look around and i'm sure you could also "hard wire" a charger in. Or maybe you could buy a 2006 deck (what i'm thinking) cause it plays MP3s. How much ram is onboard?

IMO, MP3 players and phones don't go together. Seems all too likely you could run your battery down right when you need to use the phone. I say buy an iPod and iPod-specific adapters.

You can plug the phone in with a car charger to get past the "battery problem."

The E815 does not play MP3's through the Bluetooth headset. But it does have a headphone jack (the smaller headset jack, actually) that you could plug into. I'm sure you can find an adapter at Radio Shack.

It's not a real bad idea. Let me know how it goes.
