haven't attempted to change my bulbs yet, but i have on my other cars.

the only thing different for the S, i think you have to remove the front bumper to get to the headlights, could be wrong.I did read about it somewhere on this forum, search it.

^^You're doing it wrong...

You should be able to reach behind the headlights through holes in the engine compartment...

like i said i never changed my bulbs in the S yet. In my other cars i know it's just a simple twist of the bulb, pop-out , and replace.

when i was reading about changing the bulbs in the S, i kept reading that the front bumper had to be removed.

i am thinking of getting 5000k or 6000k bulbs though, anyone got any good prices?

You do have to remove your front bumper or try to go through the fender liner..

you will need a 25m torx to unscrew the bolt to replace the HID bulb.

I would uninstall the front bumper to be safe and to prevent you from not seeing what u are doing. Its time consuming but very easy.

Hope this helps.

Funny...I managed to replace both turn signal bulbs without removing the bumper or liner. I'd imagine that since the turn signals are further into the fender than the headlights I could change the headlight bulbs without removing the bumper or liner. Oh well, what do I know, I've been wrong before

I just changed my headlight bulbs. The security screw is a T25 Torx tamperproof screw. So I didn't have a short bit of that size. All I had was a screwdriver, so it was too long to stick into access hole from the engine compartment.

I ended up taking off my front wheels and pulling back the fender liners to access the bulbs. It wasn't that bad. Just a bit tedious removing all those clips and bolts. But the end result was worth it. 6000K bulbs look much better than the OEM 4300K.
