changer problem

Default changer problem

was using the cd changer and all of a sudden it stopped working.. doesn't read any of the cd's the cartridge (burnt or legit).. tried all the instructions in the manual.. nothing.. common problem? any suggestions?

Can you check if there is power going to it? Can you eject the cartridge? Maybe you blew a fuse.

yea, the cartridge will eject.. it just keeps can't read any cd's.. so it thinks every sleeve is empty, when the all 6 are actually loaded..

Are they all "home made" CDs? Just make sure it's not the CDs. Ensure you have a "store bought" one in there to confirm. If it won't read a commercially made CD, then try to disconnect the power for a minute to do a reset on the changer. Try again. If it still doesn't read, then it's pretty good odds the changer has taken a dive. Warranty?

well yea.. it stopped working while i was playing burnt cd's.. but i tried to use a few "store bought" ones, and those didn't work either.. i will try to disconnect the power to reset it.. and no more warranty.. heh.. thanks for the input!
