Default changing wallpaper on the ida-x305s

the alpine allows you to upload a wallpaper in a format of .apn... well, i've put the files on a thumb drive, navigated to it on the HU and when i select it, i dont get the, "affirmative" beep but the, "that shit aint gonna happen" beep... it just will not select the wallpaper for download.

anyone else have this problem or know the solution?

Maybe whatever you're doing to covert to .APN format isn't working correctly. Sounds like a file format issue.

I have one I know works that I could send you to test. It's actually a pretty nice S2000 text logo.

FYI, I shot you a PM with my email (just hit me up and I'll send them). There's a couple of online resources, so it might not be anything you haven't already seen.

There was also an online conversion app, but it's currently down.

Did after installing your radio were you able to close your radio door without any problems? Seems like a lot of people can't, or its a tight fit.

oh no, it's most definitely a tight fit although the door closes fine. that knob is big as hell and a lot bigger than it appears in any picture of the unit.

It fits but just barely. If I push the radio door in the middle you can feel the knob depressing. If I close the door on the left side (were the little latch is), it doesn't touch.

Yeah, my X100 does the same thing, you can close the door just fine and get a tiny bit of resistance if you push from the middle and what feels like none if you push the door closed from the left/corner.

I just had my HU out to install my RCA/Amp wiring, and I thought about tweaking the brackets but it's such minimal contact I didn't think it was even worth it.

There's a couple of fixes if you want it to completely clear:

Since the knob is offset to the left, you could trim the pocket behind the door, just an inch more to left of the cutout removed and it would be fine.

You could also just take the brackets and cut the mounting holes forward about 2-3mm so it would slide back into the opening deeper. That was what I had planned to do at some point, but it wound up not being much of a thing with me.
