2006 Alpine with "full-speed" or whatever they call the new iPod interface? So far I've heard pretty good reviews on that one. I really want to see one in action though, preferably on the new HU due out this month.

i don't know if this one works...but i was the victim for testing out the Blitzsafe one, and now they have a working model for the 05 S2000...and it was only like $73 shipped.

works the same as this...display just reads CDC, and you need to use Ipod controls...charges too...

I just called Blitz Safe and they claim that their product may, or may not, work with a 2005. They are working on it and say that within 1 - 2 weeks a firmware upgrade will be available.

I'm going on a trip next week and realllllly want my ipod hooked up for it... I was hoping to have the 9857 in, but it looks like that won't be happening. I'll keep looking for a cheap solution for my trip...

I got my IPOD adapter for the car, installed it in about 5 minutes and it works great, i would love to not even have to see the IPOD, and use my dash control to change tracks but for the money, im just happy i dont have to burn another damn CD.

I dont know what else to say about it, the install was a breeze and it does its job flawlessly.

for the money and a cheap alternative to CD's this is a great buy.
I think i want to get a dash mount and a 1G Nano just for the car, i think my 30 gig has too much music on it, i just end up forwarding through everything i dont want to hear. the shipping was quick and the service was great even though their site is a little shadey looking.

It sounds like up to 2003 this unit will work fine... I emailed the guys that have this ebay listing to see if they have something other than Blitzsafe for 2005s.

That would be great... The guys at Blitz safe it was hit or miss... but were working on a fix... I didn't sense any confidence.

Did you buy yours locally or off the Internet?

Thanks again!

i originally got part number HOM/M LINK 1 V.2 I got it online and it didn't work.

I contacted blitzsafe and after a few weeks they sent me a new IC to try....that also did not work.

Then they sent me a whole new unit, part number HOM/M LINK 1 V.2X...this one works. However I just took it out of the car tonight casue i threw my old alpine deck in.....so it's for sale if someone wants it...

I have had the ice link for over 6 months now and really no problems. I had it freeze up on me twice. All you have to do is pull the fuse to the head unit and it clears it out. I have heard the best ipod for setup with oem HU is the Nano. It has faster I/O than the other ipods. I have the nano, my friend has the Mini and it took noticeable longer to switch from song to song. The sound quality from the ipod sounds much better than the radio and cd's IMO.
