Default Cheapest Alpine Headunit to use w/ a Wired DCI?

Topic says all. I'm on a budget for an Alpine headunit with a rear wired remote input.

I was looking at this Alpine CDE-9870: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-DnYe1KwD01F/c...00&I=500CDE9870

$119

w/ this PAC SWI-ALP:
http://www.shipsound.com/product_inf...ucts_id=102838

$46.95

However, I need someone to confirm if that headunit has a wired remote input for the PAC. I'm open to any other suggestions.

Thanks in advance,

Wade

The CDA-9883 is the cheapest that has the hard wired input, according to Alpine's website (which, not very surprisingly, provides such information).

I'd suggest the modifry DCI over the PAC, more features, yes more expensive, but if $50 is really going to blow the budget over what you want to spend already then maybe one should reconsider the whole thing...

Sorry for using the word "cheap" I've put a lot of money into sound systems before (my mustang has Focal Components, sub, and all that)... I just bought the S2000 3 weeks ago, and just want to hook up my Ipod/improve the stock speakers at high volume.

So I take it the headunit I was looking at doesn't have the wired input.

Well, even a "cheap" inexpensive Alpine is still a good HU.

Even if you don't have the wired input, if it has an IR sensor for a remote you can get the wireless DCI and you'll be perfectly happy. You'll never notice the eye after you've installed.
