Just had a Kenwood deck put in with 4 6 1'2 Clarion 3 ways.. They were supposed to put Kenwood speakers in but ended up with the Clarions. The guy said Clarion's are a better speaker.. Is this true or is the guy B.S.'ing me??
I know it will depend on the actual speaker but in general whats the consensus re the two makes...

 

If he got 3-way 6.5" in the rears all the better. Even though SOME 6"-6.5" will fit the rear, their grills just stick out too much and too high on the seat back. Most models are of a lower quality. I'd rather see a high quality 4-5.25" than a low quality 6.5" back there.

The Rear speakers fit a cove behind the seat where the optional pouches hang (thus the hooks).

 

First we need the model number of the Kenwoods that were to be installed and the model number of the Clarions that were installed before we can say if you ended up with a better speaker or not.
