Clifford alarm with mind of its own
Hi all, my Clifford just developed the annoying habit of having the motion sensor chirp at random. Every few minutes the motion warning chirp goes off by itself, regardless of sensitivity setting, time of day, surroundings, weather conditions, etc. The alarm never goes off, just the stage-one warning. Other than that, the alram works as it should. Is this a common probelm with Cliffords? Do you think it's a defective sensor or could it be the brain?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
UPDATE:
Almost two months after I posted this and a lot of troubleshooting later, I finally figured it out: it was the SUNPASS! (the pre-paid paytoll transmitter box). I figured it stopped working when I started getting tickets in the mail for running tolls. Once removed from the car, my alarm stopped acting up
According to Clifford's UK website:
"...a strong electromagnetic disturbance can deform the sensors radar field enough to trigger a pre-warning (on dual-zone versions) and/or full alarm zone. This can be caused by nearby poorly shielded, high wattage devices; a garage door opener, out-of-spec radio/CB transmitters or even a poorly shielded microwave oven or hair-dryer."
Just throwing that out there for reference's sake.
