Default Coaxial speaker Recommendations HELP!

I have a MY00 so no tweeters. I do not want to cut my doors so for now components are out and I am really looking at solid coaxial speakers. I have been looking at the polk db650. I Have the JVC AR870 HU 21 RMS 50x4. Since the polks are around $100 that is pretty much my budget. What speakers should I be looking at? I am looking for an fairly easy install, adapter rings are fine, basket cutting is fine, but I will buy the honda speaker harness to make it plug n play. Like everybody else I am looking for as much bass as possible,(I understand this is a 6.5 speaker but I do not want just blaring highs) . Please post the following:

Thanks for all of the help

Speaker Model/Make:
Size:
Do I need Lucid adapters: (yes/no)
Do I need to modify the basket: (yes/no

Just get any old efficient speakers; $100 isn't alot to work with. You may notice some improvement but not alot.

I love my Pro 60's and they can be set up in a coaxial fashion. THey cost more than $100.00 but the sx series sounds great as well. If you're not using an amp then you need to make your choice speakers carefully since the sound won't be mush better, if any, than the factory set up.

you're right, there is nothing worse than the stock '00-'01 speakers,
replacing these will improve even the stock headunit.
many people have been happy with both the Polks and the Infinitys,
and both appear to have comparable efficiency at 92db. John
(darkknight1999) is an authorized Alphasonik dealer, and they
appear to have a very efficient coax (94db) which maybe he
can tell you about, not to mention sell it to you. As always, if
you have a place you can go to actually listen to them you'll
probably end up with the best fit for you.

In this case, I would reccomend the Boston Acoustics S65RC. The sensitivity is 92 db which will make the most of the JVC's power, they're not that expensive, and they're from a quality manufacturer. I don't known anything about Alphasonik speakers so maybe they're as-good. Best to listen in person before you buy.
