Default Complete my stereo configuration

Im stepping through my stereo upgrade plan and could use some recomendations. What do you guys think about this for good sound while cruising top-down. I do listen to a lot of techno/trance music, some of it is melodic while having plenty of bass.
Here is my proposed setup:

* HeadUnit: Alpine CDA-9856 --- Already bought used for $120 plus Ipod control cable for another $20
*DCI -- Modifry
* Speakers: Torn between Polk Audio DBA6500(1) for about $100 off ebay and Boston Acoustics Pro Series for about $300 off ebay. Im not sure if the speaker difference is worth 3x the price.
* Amp: Alpine MRP-F450
* Sub Enclosure: WLaurent V1(preferrably) or V2
* Sub: JL Audio 10" Sub. Is it compatible with V1?
* Audio Wires: Something thats not Monster. Any recs?

What do you think?
I plan to get most of the components myself and then take it to a trustworthy installer.

Speakers: i HAVE the BA pros... and i say for 200$ diff you can dynamat the doors and trunk very well and have someone help with a clean install
sub enclosure: if you want to fit sub to box...check sub specification for volume requirement to decide between v1/v2

Don't overlook the BA SL60's... they're a step below the Pro's but still very, very nice. I have them in my car and they sound amazing. Infinity Kappas are very popular too.

i'm about to drop a 'budget' setup in my s2k and thinking pretty similar but going all new and tweeter installed (they do nego)

alpine 9883 or 9885
alpine f450 4 channel amp or f550 if i can fit it snugly
polk db6501 (getting these over the 6500 for sure so you can adjust the tweets -)
jl or polk 10" in custom box on side of trunk
dynamat xt doors, near footwells and trunk

and can't forget the modifry dci

just need something simple cause my stock 00' speakers are finally blown.

when i researched, they seemed to have a great reputation everywhere. i knew they were power hungry, but i had a jbl amp that provided plenty of power.

i liked the tweeter type, and they were supposed to provide good mid-bass.

i think overall, they are good.. im not convinced that theyre a great VALUE though. i bought them for 300$ brand new ebay (serial number intact!)

if there is something at 90-95% of their quality, for 1/2th the price, i think thats a better deal... since the market is much larger at that price point, i think thats possible.

for their price point, though, the only other pair i would have bought are Focal

Get Alpine Type R components in the doors. I have Polk dB6500's in the doors and 5.25 Type Rs in the headrests and the Alpine has a broader freq response, better sound, and more midbass than the 6.5 Polks. Get Knuconceptz cables- really good and really cheap.

Realistically speaking, other than flashy designs, whats the difference between KnuConcepts/Monster cables and 22AWG Rca cables from Monoprice?

alpine components (type s / r) are supposed to be good.. they were my #3 options..though i hear the type r are power hungry as well
