Default Component Speaker

I'm planning on upgrading my sound system, I already have one Eclipse titanium sub, and looking for a set of component speaker, any recommendation? My budget for the speaker is between 300-450, I listen to mostly Rap/RnB/Hiphop/Alternative/Rock. And do I need a two or four channels amp to run one set of component? Thanks.

I like the polk momo and mb Quart, my brother also recommended Rainbow audio.

Give the Diamond Audio Hex series a listen. You can pick up a set off Ebay for approx 250.

Just installed Polk MMC6500 in my S2K. Love em!!! Set the crossover -3db and you're set to go. Cool thing is they come with a spacer ring that bolts right into our cars...no drilling required...no cutting the stock one or making a MDF one.

I'm running mine with a Kicker KX350.4 4 channel amp bridged for stereo. That gives me 175 watts per channel 4 ohm load for them and the amp is small enough.

FYI...my sub is a Kicker L7 12" sealed box with a Kicker KX750.1 on it.

Both amps fit in the spare tire area with some good planning on the install.

thanks guys, my first choice was the polk mmc, and then figure spend a little more and get something even better, since i'm an audiophile I like loud music. I'll try out diamond audio and see how it go, and do I need two or four channels amp to run the speakers? BTW kicker L7 rock with the right enclosure and wiring that sub and probadly best bang for the buck.

you only need a two channel amp since it has a passive cross-over.

If you go with the Diamonds, send me a PM and I'll send you a pic of how I installed the crossovers (trust me, it took me a few tries to figure out where I was going to mount them)...

what do you guys think of the MB Quart QSD216, I kind of narrow it down to mb quart, diamond hex, but I do not know which specific focal you are talking about.
