I've been contemplating the Compustar 2 way paging alarm since my brother recently had one installed in his RSX.
http://www.compustar.org/products/2WSS.html

It has a range of 6000 feet with the Spread spectrum model.

However, some folks in the FL forum have installed the comparable Ultrastart system and say good things about it. I don't know what the range of this one is but it does have the 2 way just like the Marksman.

Both the Marksman and the Ultrastart can be found here. They are also substantially less expensive than the Compustar.

Anyone have any opinions on which is better, and why? Gimme some ideas. Thanks.

I guess no one's familiar with the Marksman system huh?

LA - You will like the Compustar. Did you get the 2WSS(spread spectrum model) with 6000 ft range?

Laz - How solid is that flip up cover on your remote?

Any complaints with the Ultrastart?

Picked up my car today and all i can is that
i love the Compustar alarm. The range is awsome !!
The remote LCD display is amazing and it works like a charm.
No problems at all. I will post some pictures of the remote
and where i placed the antenna to receive and send. I also
had a custom mold made to go across the top pillar that
now encases a nav system and Valentine One. New head
unit, speakers, amp in trunk. Will get pictures up over
the weekend. I did away with the visors. I thought they
were useless anyway.

Flip up cover is very solid, should not break unless you wanted it to, so far I have had the ultrastart for 2 weeks and have had nothing but good things to say about it. The sensor is awesome. I have had a few people thrying to check out the car, as soon as they get next to it it beeps warning them and sends me a signal. I would highly recommend it or really any other 2 way remote.

There's so many choices now...

Hmm..the Ultrastart is a little cheaper than the Compustar.
