1badride,

Thanks man. I'll try your fixes. Do you have an oem spoiler? I wonder if mine is causing some of the rattlling?

No spoiler on mine. Didn't really like it when I bought the car, now I sorta want one...heheh...

Could be the spoiler, as it is mounted at two points. Try some weather seal along the spoiler between the lid and the spoiler.

Feel free to send me an email anytime

Peace...

I think it has something to do with the trunk lid, cuz it doesn't rattle when it's up. I'm thinking it might be the plastic looms vibrating off of the metal. I thought it was those two long metal rods that criss cross along the length of the trunk, but I put a towel on it to give it additional tension and it didn't work. I'm going to keep looking.

I went ahead and put both hands on the trunk lid, but it didn't work. I've already held the license plate, frame, and rear spoiler. Still no luck. I'll probably have to remove all the carpet in the trunk to see what's underneath.

Now I'm curious. I have a funny feeling I'm going to run into this when I do my install. I'm going to put an old sub in the trunk and see if I can reproduce the vibration.

Dude, please let me know if you find out, cuz I'm stumped. How come only 1badride and myself have this problem? Maybe we turn our bass up too much. Until I figure this out, I'm just going to have to keep the bass at a modest level.

Everything has responds to a certain frequency. You just happen to have found it. Try running your low pass a little lower to see if that helps.
