this sort of thing is tempting isn't it. my main worry is that the pc based navigation will not be up to par to the top of the line Alpine nav system i had in my 4Runner.

please let me know if anyone has tried out any pc based nav and has any suggestions.

interesting. what are the specs on the pc?
I also like the drop down screen idea, very creative. I was thinking about pulling out the factory stereo entirely, but this is a new twist.
